THE STONY BROOK SCHOOL IS AN INDEPENDENT COLLEGE PREPARTORY SCHOOL FOR BOARDING AND DAY STUDENTS IN GRADES 7-12. THE ENROLLMENT THIS YEAR WAS APPROXIMATELY 442 STUDENTS ATTENDING CLASSES AT THE STONY BROOK CAMPUS. THE EDUCATIONAL COMPONENTS OF THE SCHOOL INCLUDE A RIGOROUS ACADEMIC AGENDA.
THE STONY BROOK SCHOOL OFFERS ACADEMIC SUPPORT SERVICES THAT ARE CALLED "LEARNING SERVICES". THESE INCLUDE TUTORING AND ACADEMIC SUPPORT.
THE STONY BROOK SCHOOL OFFERS EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES SUCH AS SPORTS, WHICH INCLUDES A MARINE/SAILING PROGRAM, CLUBS, WELLNESS SERVICES, RESIDENTIAL LIFE FOR THE BOARDING STUDENTS, AND STUDENT ACTIVITIES FOR ALL STUDENTS.
