THROUGH REGULAR CLASSES, AMERICAN JAPAN KARATE ASSOCIATION, INC. PROVIDES KARATE INSTRUCTION TO ALL-COMERS. THE GOALS OF TRAINING INCLUDE NOT ONLY PHYSICAL FITNESS BUT ALSO MENTAL FORTITUDE AND RESPECT FOR OTHERS. THEY HAVE ROUGHLY 50 ACTIVE MEMBERS IN ANY GIVEN YEAR. ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES INCLUDE SEASONAL TRAINING SEMINARS AND A REGIONAL TOURNAMENT. THE LARGEST SEASONAL TRAINING SEMINAR IS THEIR ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL SUMMER CAMP, WHERE APPROXIMATELY 120 GLOBAL PARTICIPANTS TRAIN UNDER THEIR PERMANENT INSTRUCTORS AND GUEST INSTRUCTORS FROM AROUND THE WORLD. THE REGIONAL TOURNAMENT OCCURS TWICE PER YEAR AND HAS ANYWHERE FROM 30 TO 120 PARTICIPANTS.DUE TO COVID, 2022 WAS A COMBINATION OF IN-PERSON AND REMOTE INSTRUCTION VIA ZOOM.
