SENIOR CENTER PROGRAM - THIS PROGRAM IS OFFERED THROUGH THE NEW YORK CITY DEPARTMENT FOR THE AGING. IT PROVIDES HOT LUNCHES DAILY TO SENIORS. THE PROGRAM INCLUDES LECTURES, ENTERTAINMENT, INFORMATION ON GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS, TRANSPORTATION, AND TRIPS THROUGHOUT THE NEW YORK METROPOLITAN AREA. THE GOAL IS TO ENABLE SENIORS TO AGE INDEPENDENTLY AND REMAIN ACTIVE MEMBERS OF THEIR COMMUNITY.
HOLOCAUST PROGRAM - A DAY PROGRAM FOR HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS. IT IS A DYNAMIC PROGRAM THAT SERVES THE HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR/ NAZI VICTIM BY OFFERING A WIDE VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES, ENTERTAINMENT, TRANSPORTATION AND TRIPS. THE GOAL IS TO PROVIDE A CHEERFUL, FRIENDLY SETTING FOR SOCIALIZATION WITH THEIR PEERS.
VARIOUS PROGRAMS OFFERED INCLUDING POOL AND AQUATICS FACILITIES, PHYSICAL EDUCATION, PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS, FREE MEDICAL LECTURES SUPPORTED BY THE LOCAL HOSPITALS AND MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, FREE HEALTH FAIR, AND CULTURAL ARTS PROGRAMMING. ALL OF THESE PROGRAM ACTIVITIES PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL, RECREATIONAL, AND CULTURAL BENEFITS TO ALL PARTICIPANTS FROM THE COMMUNITY. DUE TO COVID-19 MANDATED CLOSURES IN NEW YORK, THE FACILITY OF THE ORGANIZATION WAS FULLY OR PARTIALLY CLOSED FOR MOST OF THE FIRST HALF OF THE FISCAL YEAR.
