THE ISLANDERS CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION IS DEDICATED TO SUPPORTING THE YOUTH OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES TO CHILDREN. NOT ONLY DOES THE ICF DO THIS BY WORKING WITH LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS BUT ALSO CREATED A VARIETY OF IN-HOUSE PROGRAMS. THE FOUNDATION'S MAIN AREAS OF FOCUS ARE HEALTH, EDUCATION AND YOUTH HOCKEY DEVELOPMENT. DONATIONS ARE RAISED FOR THE FOUNDATION THROUGH THE TIRELESS EFFORTS OF ISLANDERS PLAYERS, MANAGEMENT AND EMPLOYEES, ALONG WITH THE SUPPORT OF LOYAL SPONSORS AND FANS.

YOUTH HOCKEY - THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTS OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SPORT OF HOCKEY. THE ORGANIZATION'S EFFORTS FOCUS ON INSTRUCTION, SPORTSMANSHIP, AND CULTURAL EXCHANGES THROUGH INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS. APPROXIMATELY 75,000 CHILDREN RECEIVED THE SPORTS AND RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES GRANT THIS YEAR.
SPORTS, RECREATIONAL, AND MUSIC OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN - THE ISLANDERS CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION SUPPORTS MANY SPORTS, MUSICAL, AND RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS BENEFITTING CHILDREN. THE ACTIVITIES CONSIST OF DIRECT FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO OTHER RECOGNIZED CHARITIES THAT FOCUS ON CHILDREN.
