PUBLIC SERVICE LEADERSHIP: THE PARTNERSHIP VIEWS LEADERSHIP AS THE MOST CRUCIAL FACTOR INFLUENCING FEDERAL AGENCY PERFORMANCE AND GOVERNMENT EFFECTIVENESS. BY DEVELOPING THE ABILITIES OF FEDERAL LEADERS AT ALL LEVELS, INCLUDING CAREER CIVIL SERVANTS AND POLITICAL APPOINTEES, AND PROVIDING FORUMS FOR THEM TO DISCUSS SHARED CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS, THE PARTNERSHIP HELPS LEADERS BECOME AGENTS OF CHANGE WITHIN THEIR OWN AGENCIES AND ACROSS GOVERNMENT. OUR APPROACH TO DEVELOPING LEADERS IS GROUNDED IN OUR PUBLIC SERVICE LEADERSHIP MODEL, WHICH OUTLINES CORE VALUES FEDERAL LEADERS MUST EMBODY STEWARDSHIP OF PUBLIC TRUST AND COMMITMENT TO THE PUBLIC GOOD AND OUTLINES THE COMPETENCIES THEY NEED IN A MODERN GOVERNMENT AND AT EACH STAGE OF THEIR LEADERSHIP CAREERS.

WE ALSO REGULARLY ASSESS PUBLIC VIEWS OF GOVERNMENT PERFORMANCE, TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY AND GENERATE THOUGHT LEADERSHIP TO SUPPORT GOVERNMENT TRUST AND TRUSTWORTHINESS.
FEDERAL TALENT. GOVERNMENT HAS AN AGING WORKFORCE AND IS STRUGGLING TO ATTRACT THE TALENT, PARTICULARLY AMONG EARLY CAREER WORKERS, IT NEEDS SERVE THE PUBLIC. BY HELPING FEDERAL AGENCIES RECRUIT, HIRE AND RETAIN YOUNG TALENT, THE PARTNERSHIP SUPPORTS GOVERNMENT IN NOT ONLY REPLACING EMPLOYEES NEARING THE END OF THEIR CAREERS BUT ALSO BRINGING NEW SKILLS AND PERSPECTIVES THAT WILL HELP THE COUNTRY RISE TO THE SIGNIFICANT CHALLENGES OF THE DAY AND PREPARE FOR WHAT LIES AHEAD. IN ADDITION, TOP-PERFORMING ORGANIZATIONS HAVE HIGHLY ENGAGED EMPLOYEES WHO ARE CONNECTED TO THEIR MISSIONS AND CUSTOMERS.
