NPN IS COMMITTED TO SHARING ITS RESOURCES WITH ITS REGION, PARTICULARLY SMALLER ARTS ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS, THROUGH ITS SOUTHERN PROGRAMS. DIRECT SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE THROUGH A NETWORK OF PARTICIPATING PROJECTS, FISCAL SPONSORSHIP, AND THREE GRANTING PROGRAMS - SOUTHERN ARTISTS FOR SOCIAL CHANGE, THE TAKE NOTICE FUND AND GET READY.
THE CREATION & DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM SUPPORTS THE CREATION, DEVELOPMENT AND TOURING OF NEW ARTISTIC PROJECTS AROUND THE U.S. THE PROGRAM ALLOWS RELATIONSHIPS AMONG DIVERSE ARTISTS, PRESENTERS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO DEVELOP OVER TIME.
THE ARTIST ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM DIRECTLY FOSTERS COMMUNITY EXCHANGE BY SUBSIDIZING RESIDENCIES OF PERFORMING AND VISUAL ARTISTS WITH NPN PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS. ARTISTS ARE PAID TO ENGAGE IN COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES IN A WIDE VARIETY OF VENUES SUCH AS CULTURAL VENUES, SCHOOLS, PRISONS, AND COMMUNITY CENTERS.
