THE CHILDREN'S FUND OF CONNECTICUT, A PUBLIC CHARITABLE FOUNDATION, PRIOR TO ITS DISSOLUTION, WAS DEDICATED TO ENSURING THAT CHILDREN IN CONNECTICUT HAVE A STRONG START IN LIFE WITH ONGOING SUPPORTS TO PROMOTE THEIR OPTIMAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING.

THE CHILDREN'S FUND, PRIOR TO ITS DISSOLUTION, CHAMPIONED SUSTAINABLE IMPROVEMENTS IN CHILDREN'S HEALTH AND MENTAL HEALTH THROUGH INNOVATIVE GRANT MAKING. WE GAVE GRANTS TO 2 ORGANIZATIONS THAT USED THE FUNDS TO ADVANCE INNOVATIONS IN CHILDREN'S HEALTH AND MENTAL HEALTH CARE AND TO PROMOTE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND BEST PRACTICES RELATED TO THE HEALTH AND MENTAL HEALTH OF CHILDREN. OUR ULTIMATE GOAL WAS FOR ALL CHILDREN IN CONNECTICUT TO HAVE ACCESS TO AND BENEFIT FROM A COMPREHENSIVE, EFFECTIVE, COMMUNITY-BASED HEALTH AND MENTAL HEALTH CARE SYSTEM.
