THE CONNECTICUT COALITION AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, INC. (CCADV) IS A MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO WORK TOGETHER TO END DOMESTIC VIOLENCE BY ADVOCATING FOR VICTIMS AND CHANGING THE SOCIAL CONDITIONS, BELIEFS, AND SOCIAL ACTIONS THAT PERPETUATE ABUSE AGAINST VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

PASS THROUGH VICTIM SUPPORT SERVICES - CCADV PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO ITS MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS USING PASS THROUGH GRANTS. THE MEMBER PROGRAMS USE THIS FUNDING TO PROVIDE CRITICAL SUPPORT TO VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, WHICH INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, COUNSELING, SUPPORT GROUPS, EMERGENCY SHELTER AND HOUSING, COURT ADVOCACY, SAFETY PLANNING AND REFERRALS.


ADVOCACY, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND OTHER PROGRAMS, INCLUDING CT SAFE CONNECT, WHICH PROVIDES 24/7 ACCESS TO INFORMATION AND RESOURCES ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - CCADV SERVES AS THE STATEWIDE LEADER AND UNIFIED VOICE FOR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE BY FOCUSING ON INCREASING SAFETY AND IMPROVING SERVICES; ADDRESSING PUBLIC POLICY ISSUES; AND DELIVERING TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO THOSE WORKING DIRECTLY WITH VICTIMS INCLUDING ITS MEMBER PROGRAMS, LAW ENFORCEMENT, JUDICIAL CONSTITUENTS, EDUCATORS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS.
