THE MISSION OF THE CHARIHO ROTARY FOUNDATION IS TO ENABLE ROTARIANS TO ADVANCE WORLD UNDERSTANDING, GOODWILL, AND PEACE THROUGH THE IMPROVEMENT OF HEALTH, THE SUPPORT OF EDUCATION, AND THE ALLEVIATION OF POVERTY LOCALLY, NATIONALLY, AND INTERNATIONALLY.

COMMUNITY GIVING (LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL): WARM CENTER MEAL SUPPORT - PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND VOLUNTEERS TO ASSIST IN SERVING FREE MEALS TO THE COMMUNITY DINING PROGRAM PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL EMERGENCY SHELTER AND COMMUNITY KITCHEN. ALSO PROVIDED ADDITIONAL FUNDS TO SUPPORT SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN - 500. RICAN - DONATION TO ASSIST ORGANIZATION IN PROVIDING EMERGENCY FOOD, CLOTHING, AND OTHER VITAL SUPPORTS TO NEIGHBORS IN CRISIS THROUGHOUT THE STATE, PRIMARILY IN WASHINGTON COUNTY AND SURROUNDING AREAS - 2,500. YMCA REACH OUT TO YOUTH PROGRAM - PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO THE LOCAL YMCA FOR CHARIHO RESIDENT MEMBERSHIP AND CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS - 4,500. WOOD RIVER HEALTH SERVICES - LOCAL FEDERALLY QUALIFIED HEALTH CENTER SERVING THE CHARIHO COMMUNITY. FUNDING FOR CLINICAL PROGRAM EXPANSION - PLEDGE OF 15,000 OVER THREE YEARS. HASBRO CHILDRENS HOSPITAL - 2,375. CHARIHO HIGH SCHOOL INTERACT CLUB - FINANCIAL AND VOLUNTEER SUPPORT ARE PROVIDED TO THE LOCAL INTERACT CLUB FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS THAT INCLUDE CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR LOCAL FAMILIES IN NEED, HEATING OIL SUPPORT, AND A NUMBER OF OTHER COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS - 930. EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT: COLLEGE EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS - NINETEEN STUDENTS WERE PROVIDED 1,500 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR COLLEGE PROGRAMS. AWARDS ARE BASED ON COMMUNITY SERVICE AND EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE - 28,500.
