THE AFTER SCHOOL CLUB (ASC) PROVIDES DAILY AFTER-SCHOOL CARE FOR FIFTEEN TO TWENTY CHILDREN AGE 5 TO 12. THE PROGRAM OPERATES NINE MONTHS OF THE YEAR IN COORDINATION WITH THE SCHOOL YEAR, PROVIDING A SUPPORTIVE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT THAT OFFERS STRUCTURED HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE ALONG WITH ENRICHMENT PROJECTS. THE AVAILABILITY OF NEED-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS PROVIDES FAMILIES SUFFERING FINANCIAL HARDSHIP WITH HIGH-QUALITY AND AFFORDABLE CHILD CARE.
ADULT PROGRAMS: INCLUDES EDUCATION PROGRAMS, SENIOR ACTIVITIES, SENIOR MEAL SITE, TRIVIA NIGHTS, AND THEATER PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS. THE SENIOR MEAL SITE SERVES APPROXIMATELY 780 SENIORS ANNUALLY. CATERING IS PROVIDED BY LOCAL VOLUNTEER CHEFS AND LCCC PERSONNEL. THE MEAL PROGRAM SERVES SENIOR AND DISABLED INDIVIDUALS, CREATING A DIVERSE AND STIMULATING SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT. DURING COVID 19 SENIOR MEALS WERE PREPARED ON SITE AND AVAILABLE FOR PICKUP OR DELIVERY.
YOUTH AND FAMILY PROGRAMMING: INCLUDES MOVIE AND FUN NIGHTS, CIRCLE OF FRIENDS ACTIVITIES, AND SUMMER CAMP.
