RACIAL ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE COMMITTEE. THE REJC WORKS TO ENSURE OUR MEMBERS ARE MAKING THE DECISIONS AND EMBODY THE PRINCIPLE SET FORWARD IN OUR JUST PROVIDENCE FRAMEWORK. TO ACHIEVE THAT GOAL OUR WAYS OF BEING NEED TO REFLECT OUR PRINCIPALS. DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROVIDENCE CLIMATE JUSTICE PLAN. DEVELOPMENT OF RHODE ISLAND GREEN JUSTICE ZONES.


ADDITIONAL PROGRAM ACTIVITIES. THE ORGANIZATION INVESTED IN FINANCIAL AND ACCOUNTING INFRASTRUCTURE TO PROVIDE TARGETED SUPPORT FOR EXISTING AND NEW FISCAL AGENCY PROJECTS TO ACCESS FEDERAL GRANT OPPORTUNITIES.


GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE COALITION. FACILITATED COALITION OF ORGANIZATION MEMBERS OF OUR SISTER ORGANIZATION THE ENVIRONMENT COUNCIL OF RHODE ISLAND. ITS VISION IS FOR RI MUNICIPALITIES TO HAVE SUSTAINABLE STORM WATER MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS WHICH PRIORITIZE IMPLEMENTING GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE, WHICH USES VEGETATION AND SOIL TO MANAGE RAINWATER WHERE IT FALLS.


CLIMATE ACTION CHALLENGE. COMPETITIVE GRANT PROGRAM OF THE CENTER FOR BEHAVIOR AND CLIMATE TO EXPLORE NEW WAYS OF COMMUNICATING CLIMATE CHANGE AND ITS IMPACTS TO THE PUBLIC.
