THE HEALTHCARE PURCHASER ALLIANCE OF MAINE USES DATA TO BETTER INFORM EMPLOYERS AND PROVIDERS ABOUT VARIATIONS IN THE QUALITY AND COST OF CARE PROVIDED ACROSS MAINE AND SUPPORTS THESE STAKEHOLDERS IN USING THE DATA TO IMPROVE THE VALUE OF CARE. THE ALLIANCE HAS DEVELOPED, AND CONTINUES TO DEVELOP, PROGRAMS FOR EMPLOYERS TO USE THAT WILL NOT ONLY REDUCE THEIR HEALTHCARE COSTS BUT ENCOURAGE EMPLOYEES TO UTILIZE HIGH VALUE PROVIDERS. CURRENT OFFERINGS INCLUDE PROGRAMS INVOLVING CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE, REFERENCE BASED PRICING, GROUP PURCHASING OF RX, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH, TELEMEDICINE, AND SEVERAL OTHERS.
