SUPPORT COMMUNITY PROGRAMS OPERATED BY CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF THEARCHDIOCESE OF MIAMI THAT PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL, NUTRITIONAL, HEALTHPREVENTIVE, AND SOCIAL SUPPORT SERVICES THAT FOSTER AND IMPROVE THE QUALITYOF LIFE FOR CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES.

CENTRO MATER SERVED MORE THAN 1300 CHILDREN LAST YEAR. OUR DIRECTOR MADELYN R. LLANES WAS RECOGNIZED BY THE CITY OF MIAMI COMMISSIONERS AND MAYOR FOR HER EXCELLENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY. DURING LAST YEAR THOUSANDS OF FAMILIES RECEIVED DONATIONS RANGING FROM :FOOD BASKETS, TOILETRIES, DIAPERS, BABY FORMULA, CLOTHING AS WELL AS TOYS FOR THE HOLIDAYS. CENTRO MATER CONTINUES ITS WORK OF SERVING THE NEEDIEST OF FAMILIES AND EMPOWERING THEM BY PROVIDING PARENT TRAININGS SUCH AS: IMMIGRATION, CHILD ABUSE, CITIZENSHIP CLASSES, PARENT SKILLS AMONG MANY. CENTRO MATER AFTERSCHOOL LOCATED IN LITTLE HAVANA RECEIVED ITS NATIONAL RE-ACCREDITATION FROM COA-COUNCIL ON ACCREDITATION BEING THIS BODY A VERY PRESTIGIOUS INSTITUTION AND BEING CENTRO MATER THE ONLY ACCREDITED PROGRAM IN FLORIDA.
