THE FOUNDATION WAS FORMED FOR THE PURPOSE OF ADVANCING EDUCATION BY SUPPORTING THESANTA CLARA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT IN ITS EFFORTS TO RETAIN QUALIFIED TEACHERS WHOMIGHT OTHERWISE LEAVE THE DISTRICT BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING THROUGHTHE DEVELOPMENT AND OPERATION OF AFFORDABLE FACULTY HOUSING.
