AT TOXICS ACTION CENTER, WE BELIEVE THAT ENVIRONMENTAL THREATS ARE BIG, BUT THE POWER OF WELL-ORGANIZED COMMUNITY GROUPS IS BIGGER. THAT'S WHY WE WORK WITH EVERYDAY PEOPLE TO CONFRONT THOSE WHO ARE POLLUTING AND HARMING THE HEALTH OF OUR COMMUNITIES. WE PARTNER WITH THOSE MOST IMPACTED BY ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS, TRAINING THEM WITH THE KNOW-HOW ANYONE WOULD NEED TO MAKE CHANGE IN THEIR OWN BACKYARD. SINCE 1987, WE'VE ASSISTED OVER 1,000 COMMUNITIES REPRESENTING OVER 20,000 ACTIVISTS ACROSS THE REGION. WE PROVIDE IN-PERSON TRAININGS TO CREATE A POWERFUL COMMUNITY GROUP WITH AN ACTION PLAN THAT WORKS, CONDUCT PERSONALIZED LEADERSHIP TRAINING, AND BRING COMMUNITY LEADERS TOGETHER AT KEY EVENTS TO BUILD OUR MOVEMENT.
