THE BOSTON/NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER IS DEDICATED TO THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE ARTS AND SCIENCES OF TELEVISION, THE FOSTERING OF CREATIVE LEADERSHIP IN THE TELEVISION INDUSTRY, AND THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF EXCELLENCE IN ARTISTIC, EDUCATIONAL, CULTURAL AND TECHNICAL PROGRESS.

EMMY AWARDS: THE BOSTON/NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER IS PROUD TO BE THE GATEKEEPER OF THE MOST PRETIGIOUS HONOR IN THE TELEVISION INDUSTRY. THE REGIONAL EMMY AWARD IS THE STANDARD-BEARER FOR EXCELLENCE, HONORING ORIGINAL CONTENT CREATED FOR TRADITIONAL BROADCAST/CABLECAST MEDIUMS AS WELL AS NON-TRADITIONAL AND EMERGING PLATFORMS FOR BROADBAND AND PORTABLE DELIVERY. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2024 AWARDED 344 REGIONAL EMMYS IN 94 CATEGORIESTHE CIRCLES: THE SILVER AND GOLD CIRCLES ARE SPECIAL RECOGNITIONS OF THE BOSTON/NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER TO HONOR VETERAN TELEVISION PROFESSIONALS WHO HAVE MADE SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS TO THEIR COMMUNITY, THE TELEVISION INDUSTRY AND TO INDIVIDUALS TRAINING FOR CAREERS IN THE FIELD OF TELEVISION. THE SIVER AND GOLD CIRCLES CANDIDATE MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 25 YEARS AND 50 YEARS RESPECTIVELY, OF SERVICE IN A TECHNICAL, PERFORMING, CREATIVE OR ADMINISTRATIVE ROLE IN TELEVISION OR IN AN ASSOCIATED ACTIVITY DIRECTLY RELATED TO TELEVISION. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2024 HONORED 7 PROFESSIONALS.SCHOLARSHIPS: THE BOSTON/NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER, PROVIDES SUPPORT TO THE BOSTON/NEW ENGLAND NATAS SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION, WHICH WILL AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS TO HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS AND A COLLEGE STUDENT WHO INTENDS OR HAS DECLARED THEIR MAJOR IN TELEVISION OR A RELATED FIELD AND WILL BE, OR IS ATTENDING A FOUR YEAR UNDERGRADUATE COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2024, $10,800 WAS PROVIDED TO THESE SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS.
