THE NEW ENGLAND QUARTERLY (NEQ): A HISTORICAL REVIEW OF NEW ENGLAND LIFE AND LETTERS APPEARS FOUR TIMES PER YEAR. EACH ISSUE CONTAINS A MIX OF ESSAYS ON THE HISTORY, LITERATURE, AND CULTURAL AND SOCIAL LIFE OF NEW ENGLAND, FROM ITS FOUNDING TO THE PRESENT. IN ADDITION TO MAJOR ESSAYS, FEATURES INCLUDE MEMORANDA AND EDITED DOCUMENTS, RECONSIDERATIONS OF TRADITIONAL TEXTS AND INTERPRETATIONS, ESSAY REVIEWS AND BOOK REVIEWS. APPROXIMATELY 1,500 INDIVIDUAL AND LIBRARIES SUBSCRIBE TO THE JOURNAL.
THROUGH THE NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION JSTOR, ESSAYS IN NEQ'S ARCHIVE ARE MADE AVAILABLE TO RESEARCHERS VIA LIBRARY DATABASES AND INDIVIDUAL PAY-PER-VIEW DOWNLOADS. APPROXIMATELY 300,000 ESSAYS ARE ACCESSED EACH YEAR THROUGH JSTOR.
