FRIENDS IS A VOLUNTARY AUXILIARY ORGANIZATION WHOSE MEMBER ARE DEDICATED TO BRINGING TOGETHER PERSONS TO SUPPORT AND RENDER SERVICES TO SOUTH SHORE HOSPITAL, INC. FRIENDS RAISES FUNDS THROUGH ITS GIFT SHOP LOCATED WITHIN THE HOSPITAL, PRIMARILY STAFFED THROUGH VOLUNTEERS, AS WELL AS THROUGH AFFINITY GROUPS WHICH CONSIST OF DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS WHO RAISSE FUNDS FOR SPECIFIC PROGRAMS FOR THE BENEFIT OF SOUTH SHORE HOSPITAL. NET PROCEEDS OF THE GIFT SHOP AND THE FUNDRAISING EVENTS ARE DONATED TO THE HOSPITAL TO BENEFIT PROGRAMS FOR PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
