COLLABORATES WITH STATE AND LOCAL PUBLIC AGENCIES AND PRIVATE ORGANIZATIONS TO DEVELOP AND PROMOTE PROGRAMS, POLICIES, CAMPAIGNS, AND INITIATIVES THAT EDUCATE SCHOOL AND YOUTH ORGANIZATION EMPLOYEES AND CITIZENS-AT-LARGE ABOUT CHILD ABUSE, CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE AND THEIR PREVENTION.

MASSKIDS IS THE COUNTRY'S OLDEST PRIVATE, STATEWIDE CHILD ADVOCACY ORGANIZATION AND A NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED LEADER IN PREVENTING CHILD ABUSE. WE ACHIEVE OUR GOALS BY BUILDING COMMUNITY AND STATE-LEVEL COALITIONS, EDUCATING PARENTS AND OTHER ADULTS, TRAINING CHILD AND YOUTH-SERVING ORGANIZATIONS, PROMOTING PREVENTION POLICIES AND PRACTICES IN SCHOOLSAND YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS, AND ADVOCATING FOR JUSTICE FOR SURVIVORS OF ABUSE AND ACCOUNTABILITY FOR ABUSERS.OUR IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL TRAININGS ON CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE PREVENTION HAVE REACHED OVER 15,000 SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS, TEACHERS, COUNSELORS, COACHES AND OTHER SCHOOL AND YOUTH ORGANIZATION EMPLOYEES.OUR THREE ANNUAL NEW ENGLAND-WIDE CONFERENCES HAVE TRAINED OVER 400 SCHOOL AND YOUTH LEADERS SEEKING TO BUILD THEIR CAPACITY TO PREVENT CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE.OUR PLEDGE TO PREVENT ONLINE CAMPAIGN ENGAGES CITIZENS EVERYWHERE TO TAKE SPECIFIC ACTIONS TO PREVENT CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE IN THEIR HOMES AND COMMUNITIES. OVER 1,600 CITIZENS HAVE PARTICIPATED TO DATE.OUR MASSKIDS AND ENOUGH ABUSE WEBSITES REACHED NEARLY 900,000 UNIQUE VISITORS, WHO MADE NEARLY 4 MILLION PAGE VIEWS FROM 2020-2022.OUR SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNELS ARE FOLLOWED BY OVER 7,000 CITIZENS CONCERNED WITH CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE.
MASSACHUSETTS SHAKEN BABY PREVENTION CENTER PROVIDES EDUCATION AND TRAINING TO HOSITALS, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, AND A BROAD RANGE OF PROFESSIONALS ABOUT HOW TO REDUCE INFANT DEATHS AND INJURIES FROM ABUSIVE HEAD TRAUMA/SHAKEN BABY SYNDROME. THE CENTER HAS DEVELOPED AND DISSEMINATED OVER 1.3 MILLION TRAINING VIDEOS AND TEACHING MATERIALS FOR HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS AND FOR PARENTS OF NEWBORNS.
