THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO PROMOTE BIBLICAL LITERACY, UNDERSTANDING, AND DIALOGUE THAT IS GROUNDED IN SCHOLARSHIP, SOCIALLY RELEVANT, AND RESPECTFUL OF THE MANY VOICES WITHIN THE BIBLE AND ALL THOSE WHO TURN TO THE BIBLE IN FAITH.

THE SOCIETY PROVIDES GIFTS OF BIBLES TO PRISONS, HOSPITALS, HOMELESS PROGRAMS, CHURCHES, AND THOSE WHO HAVE NEED. IN ADDITION, THE SOCIETY PROVIDES BIBLE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES THROUGH PROMOTION AND SALE OF EXPLORING THE BIBLE: THE DICKINSON SERIES (EXPLORING THE BIBLE) TEXTS AND OTHER MATERIALS. EXPLORING THE BIBLE IS A SERIES OF THREE, SIX-WEEK COURSES DESIGNED TO PROMOTE BIBLE LITERACY FUNDED BY CHARLES DICKINSON, AND AUTHORED BY THE REVEREND ANNE ROBERTSON, FORMER EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE SOCIETY. THE SOCIETY PROMOTES AND DELIVERS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND SERVICES THROUGH LECTURES, SPECIAL EVENTS, WEBSITE SALES ON AMAZON.COM, BOOK TABLES AT EVENTS, SOCIAL MEDIA (FACEBOOK AND TWITTER) AND MAKING READING RECOMMENDATIONS TO ENRICH THE STUDY OF THE BIBLE. THE MAJORITY OF THE SOCIETYS SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO MASSACHUSETTS RESIDENTS. HOWEVER, THROUGH WIDE-SPREAD ENDORSEMENT AND EXPANSION OF EXPLORING THE BIBLE, THE SOCIETY'S BIBLE EDUCATION SERVICES ARE ALSO BEING OFFERED DOMESTICALLY TO RESIDENTS IN OVER 25 STATES, AS WELL AS INTERNATIONALLY IN THE UNITED KINGDOM.
