IN 2018, LAB LOVERS RESCUE HAD 2 DOGS IN HOSPICE (NOT ADOPTABLE), TOOK IN 35 DOGS, ADOPTED OUT 25 DOGS. WE PARTICIPATED IN 9 MEET AND GREET/FUNDRAISING/AWARENESS BUILDING EVENTS. ONE PARTICULARLY TOUCHING ACCOMPLISHMENT IS THAT TWO GRADE 2 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CLASSES, AS PART OF AN EDUCATIONAL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM, SELECTED LAB LOVERS RESCUE TO BE THE RECIPIENT OF THEIR FUNDRAISING EFFORTS. THEY CREATE NOTE CARDS WITH THEIR OWN UNIQUE ARTWORK, SELL THEM, AND DONATE THE PROCEEDS TO CHARITIES. OF THE FIVE CLASSES, 2 SELECTED LAB LOVERS RESCUE. WE VISITED THE STUDENTS AND DISCUSSED AND ANSWERED THEIR QUESTIONS ABOUT HOW RESCUE WORKS, AND HOWTHEIR FUNDRAISING HELPS SAVE DOGS.
