THE MISSION OF ROYALTON MEMORIAL LIBRARY IS TO MAKE ITS RESOURCES AVAILABLE AND USEFUL TO OUR COMMUNITY AND TO SUSTAIN AND PRESERVE A UNIVERSAL COLLECTION OF KNOWLEDGE AND CREATIVITY THAT ASSISTS PATRONS IN THE PURSUIT OF EDUCATION INFORMATION RESEARCH AND PLEASURE.

PROVIDE LIBRARY LENDING SERVICES FOR BOOKS PERIODICALS DVDS LARGE PRINT BOOKS AUDIO-BOOKS AND E-BOOKS. ALTHOUGH THE CO-VID19 PANDEMIC CREATED CHALLENGES FOR IN PERSON SERVICES LIBRARY LENDING SERVICES CONTINUED USING CURB SIDE PICK-UP AND HOME DELIVERY AND PROVIDING FREE BOOKS. THE LIBRARY ALSO PROVIDES FREE REFERENCE LIBRARIAN SERVICES BOTH IN PERSON (WHEN SAFE) AND VIA EMAIL AND PHONE.
THE LIBRARY PROVIDED 20 LITERARY PROGRAMS BOTH IN PERSON AND VIRTUAL. PROGRAMS INCLUDED PRESCHOOL AND TODDLER STORY TIMES ADULT READING GROUP A SUMMER READING PROGRAM FOR SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN. THESE PROGRAMS ENCOURAGED A LOVE FOR READING AND LIFELONG LEARNING AMONG ADULTS AND CHILDREN IN THE COMMUNITY. THE LIBRARY CREATED A TAKE HOME ACTIVITY KIT PROGRAM FOR KIDS TO ENHANCE VIRTUAL STORY TIME AND SUMMER READING PROGRAM AND TO KEEP KIDS CONNECTED TO THE LIBRARY DURING THE TIMES THAT THE LIBRARY BUILDING WAS CLOSED DUE TO THE PANDEMIC.
