Part 3 - Line 1

TO ENSURE THAT LANCASTER COUNTY CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY CENTER HAS THE MATERIALS, THE EQUIPMENT AND THE FUNDING TO PROVIDE THE BEST IN CAREER TRAINING FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND ADULTS.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE PROMOTION, ENHANCEMENT AND ENDOWMENT OF EDUCATIONAL AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN THE LANCASTER COUNTY CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY CENTER. MORE THAN 300 STUDENTS ANNUALLY WILL BENEFIT FROM THE NEW EQUIPMENT. SCHOLARSHIPS WERE GIVEN TO 38 STUDENTS AND ADDITIONAL STUDENT ASSISTANCE TO OTHERS TO PROVIDE HANDS ON TRAINING IN TECHNOLOGY. NEW CHOICES PROGRAM WHICH PROMOTES STUDENTS IN NONTRADITIONAL OCCUPATIONS AND SUMMER HEAD START PROGRAM THAT PROMOTES COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAM OF LANCASTER WHICH ASSIST FAMILIES TO SEND THIER CHILDREN TO THE PRE-K PROGRAM RUN BY BRIGHT HORIZONS AT THE MOUNT JOY CAMPUS WHICH PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR LANCASTER COUNTY CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS.


THE PURPOSE OF THE PRE-K PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE EXPERIENCE TO STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THE EARLY EDUCATION PROGRAM BY DESIGNING, DEVELOPING AND DELIVERING EARLY LEARNING ACTIVITIES IN CONJUCTION WITH BRIGHT HORIZONS CHILDCARE FACILITY.


THE PURPOSE OF THE STUDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR STUDENTS TO PURCHASE UNIFORMS, BOOKS, TOOLS AND TO HELP COVER THE COST OF CERTIFICATION FEES.
