HABITAT FOR HUMANITY INTERNATIONAL, INC. HFHI HAS A SUGGESTED 10 TITHING BASED ON THE INTERNAL CALCULATIONS FOR UNRESTRICTED FUNDS WHICH IS USED FOR THEIR WORLWIDE HOUSING PROGRAMS 16,805. IN ADDITION, HFHI HAS ADOPTED THE U.S. STEWARDSHIP AND ORGANIZATION SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVE US-SOI. THE POLICY REQUIRES AFFILIATES TO PAY AN ANNUAL FEE WHICH IS DETERMINED BY POPULATION WITHIN THE APPROVED GEOGRAPHIC SERVICE AREA OF THE AFFILIATE. THE PURPOSE IS TO GENERATE A REVENUE STREAM FOR HFHI TO HELP OFFSET A PORTION OF THE OPERATIONAL COSTS USED TO ASSIST U.S. AFFILIATES AND TO LEVERAGE THE STRENGTH OF THE FUNDS FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL 7,500.
