FIVE RIVERS CONSERVES LAND BY LAND ACQUISITION OR PERPETUAL CONSERVATION EASEMENTS. CONSERVATION IS OFTEN ACHIEVED BY DONATION FROM THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY, BUT MAY ALSO INCLUDE PAYMENT TO THE LANDOWNER FOR PART OR ALL OF THE VALUE OF THE PROPERTY. IN FY22, CONSERVATION EFFORTS CONSERVED TWO PROPERTIES TOTALING 168 ACRES THE KOERBER FAMILY FOREST 131 ACRES BY PURCHASE OF A CONSERVATION EASEMENT AT PARTIAL VALUE AND SLOPING ACRES FARM 37 ACRES BY DONATION OF A CONSERVATION EASEMENT. FIVE RIVERS CONSERVATION TRUST CONSERVED PROPERTIES INCLUDE 75 CONSERVATION EASEMENTS BACKUP HOLDER ON AN ADDITIONAL 4 EASEMENTS AND 3 PROPERTIES OWNED.
