NEW HAMPSHIRE THEATRE PROJECT NHTP USES THE ART OF THEATRE-MAKING TO SPARK CONVERSATION CONNECT INDIVIDUALS AND STRENGTHEN COMMUNITIES. NHTP PROVIDES A NURTURING PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT FOR YOUTH ARTISTS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO BE INSPIRED AND TRANSFORMED THROUGH THE ART OF THEATRE. WE ENVISION A COMMUNITY OF INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE SELF-REFLECTIVE ARTICULATE PASSIONATE AND COMPASSIONATE A COMMUNITY WHERE DIFFERENCES ARE HONORED HISTORY AND LITERATURE ARE EXPLORED AS RESOURCES FOR PROBLEM-SOLVING AND DIFFICULT ISSUES ARE NEGOTIATED WITH MUTUAL RESPECT AND THOUGHTFUL COMMUNITY DIALOGUE.

NHTP PRODUCES THEATRE PRODUCTIONS AND GUEST ARTISTS AT OUR HOME VENUE AS WELL AS IN COLLABORATION WITH OTHER LOCAL VENUES. THE COMMUNITY CONNECTORS SERIES PRESENTS FACILITATED PUBLIC DISCUSSIONS ABOUT COMMUNITY THEMES FEATURED IN PERFORMANCES. NHTP ADAPTED TO COVID BY LIVESTREAMING PERFORMANCES AND PRESENTING COMMUNITY PROGRAM ONLINE.
NHTP TOURS THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM SERIES THROUGHOUT NEW HAMPSHIRE AND OTHER NEW ENGLAND STATES WHICH PRESENTS THEATRE PROGRAMS AND FACILITATED DISCUSSIONS ABOUT STIGMATIZING SOCIAL ISSUES OF CRITICAL IMPORTANCE.NHTP ALSO CONDUCTS ARTIST IN RESIDENCE PROGRAMS AT SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT THE STATE.
NHTP OFFERS WORKSHOPS PRIVATE COACHING CLASSES AND SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS FOR ALL AGES. THE THEATRE FOR LIFE PROGRAM OFFERS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE THEATRE ARTS TO INDIVIDUALS BUSINESSES AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS. MANY OF THESE PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN ADAPTED TO ONLINE FORMATS AS WELL AS LIVE DUE TO COVID.
