DARTMOUTH'S OVERALL MISSION AS DESCRIBED IN THIS FORM 990 HAS NOT CHANGED DUE TO THE PANDEMIC. HOWEVER, BEGINNING IN FISCAL 2020 AND CONTINUING THROUGH FISCAL 2021, CHANGES IN THE MODE OF DARTMOUTH'S OPERATIONS INCLUDED REMOTE AND/OR HYBRID TEACHING AND LEARNING FOR SOME CLASSES, A SUBSTANTIAL REDUCTION IN STUDENT RESIDENTIAL HOUSING, DINING, AND SUPPORT PROGRAMS, A BRIEF PAUSE IN CERTAIN SPONSORED RESEARCH PROJECTS, AND A TRANSITION TO REMOTE WORKING FOR MOST OF THE DARTMOUTH WORKFORCE. THUS, DARTMOUTH CONTINUED TO FULFILL ITS EDUCATIONAL MISSION WITHIN THE CONSTRAINTS IMPOSED BY THE PANDEMIC.
