DONATIONS AND GRANTS WERE RECEIVED TO SUPPORT THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT AT THE NEW MAGIC LANTERN INNOVATION LAB AND LEARNING CENTER. THE BUILDING WAS A DONATION OF 2,970,000 FOR THE 16,000 SQUARE FOOT THEATER AND ARTS CENTER, AND CULTURAL EVENT CENTER. INCLUDES 2,970,000 DONATION OF THE NEW MAGIC LANTERN INNOVATION LAB AND LEARNING CENTER.
180,000 WAS CONTRIBUTED TO OUR ENVIRONMENTAL LEARNING CENTERS DURING COVID 19. OUR CENTERS WERE CLOSED FOR A LARGE TIME AND THEREFORE REVENUE WAS MINIMAL. THE LEARNING CENTERS DID NOT QUALIFY FOR PPP OR SUPPORT FUNDS FROM THE CARES ACT,
SCHOLARSHIPS THAT SUPPORT THE FOLLOWING SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATH STEM PROGRAMS, LEADERSIP, CITIZENSHIP, SERVICE, HEALTHY LIVING AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION ARE KEY PROGRAM AREAS THAT THE MAINE 4-H FOUNDATION SUPPORT ANNUALLY. THE UNIVERSITY OF MAINE 4-H YOUTH DEVELOPMENT POGRAM ENGAGES YOUNG PEOPLE IN A NUMBER OF ENGINEERING PROGRAMS ON CAMPUS SCIENCE PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH AND FOR CLUBS ACROSS MAINE. IN 2022, THE MAINE 4-H FOUNDATION CONTINUED TO SUPPORT ALL FOUR OF THE 4-H CAMP AND LEARNING CENTERS AND THE LAFAYETTE AND RAWCLIFFE SCIENCE ENGINEERING CENTER.
