THE MISSION OF THE ANIMAL ORPHANAGE IS TO CARE FOR AND ADOPT OUT THE STRAY OR ABANDONED ANIMALS IN OUR LOCAL COMMUNITIES. IT IS A NO KILL SHELTER THAT UTILIZES RIGOROUS SPAY/NEUTER ACTIVITES TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF LOST AND ABANDONED ANIMALS. EVERY EFFORT IS MADE TO REUNITE AND ADOPT OUT ANIMALS.

THE ANIMAL ORPHANAGE HAS 5 STAFF MEMBERS WHO ROTATE WEEKLY TO ENSURE ALL ANIMALS ARE CARED FOR DAILY/NIGHTLY/WEEKLY. THE ORPHANAGE IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK AND STAFF DO DAILY/NIGHTLY CHECKS IN WHEN THE ORPHANAGE IS CLOSED. THIS EXPENSE IS ALLOCATED AGAINST THE TOTAL REVENUE FOR THE ORPHANAGE.
MEDICAL EXPENSES MAKE UP OVER 30% OF TOTAL EXPENSES FOR THE ANIMAL ORPHANAGE. INTAKE FOR ALL ANIMALS INCLUDES TREATMENT FOR FLEAS AND INTESTINAL PARASITES,INITIAL VET EXAMS WITH RABIES AND DISTEMPER VACCINES AND BOOSTERS, AS WELL AS SPAY/NEUTER, MICRO- CHIPPING, TREATMENT AND TESTING FOR LYMES AND TREATMENT FOR EAR MITES. THIS EXPENSE IS ALLOCATED AGAINST THE TOTAL REVENUE FOR THE ORPHANAGE.
THE THIRD LARGEST SINGLE EXPENSE FOR THE ORPHANAGE IS THE COST OF RUNNING THE ORPHANAGE. THESE COSTS INCLUDE FOOD FOR ANIMALS, UTILITIES, REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE, AND GENERAL OFFICE COSTS.
