PROVIDING LOW OR NO-COST TRANSIT SREVICES TO INDIVIDULAS IN THE WMTS SERVICE AREA, WITH A PARTICULAR REGARD TO THE ELDERLY AND PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES. WMTS RECEIVES FUNDING FROM THE FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION AND MAINEDOT. LOCAL MATCH IS FUNDED BY ANDROSCOGGIN, FRANKLIN, AND OXFORD COUNTIES, THE TOWN OF BRUNSWICK, LISBON, CARRABASSETT VALLEY, BETHEL, NEWRY, OTHER MUNICIPALITIES AND PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES. ADDITIONAL FUNDING IS RECEIVED FROM UNITED WAY, MAINEDHHS, CDS AND THROUGH OTHER CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENTS.
