DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF EXPERIENTIAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS WORLDWIDE.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

The goal of this organization are the volunteer and other organizations that provide emergency rescue operations and/or lifesaving activities for people who are stranded, lost, accident victims, or exposed to other life-threatening dangers. Included may be organizations that participate in air rescue, mountain rescue, sea rescue, ski rescue, traffic accident rescue and urban search and rescue operations.

The goal of this organization is to operate organizations that provide educational programs within the formal educational system or offered as an adjunct to the traditional school curriculum which help students succeed in school and prepare for life. Includes organizations that partner parents, families, schools, business and/or community leaders to broker resources for the benefit of local schools.

The goal of this organization are the private foundations whose grant funds are derived primarily from the contributions of a profit-making business organization.

The goal of this organization is to develop, maintain and make available to the general public recreational areas which are equipped with athletic fields and courts, campgrounds, picnic areas and a variety of recreational trails such as bridle trails, hiking trails, off-the-road vehicle trails and snowmobile trails.

THE PURPOSE OF THE SHERIDAN COMMUNITY EDUCATION FOUNDATION IS TO ACQUIRE FUNDS FOR PROVIDING AND PROMOTING A BROAD ARRAY OF EDUCATIONAL SERVIES TO THE SHERIDAN COUNTY COMMUNITY THAT ARE NOT FORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE REGULAR K-12 PUBLIC SCHOOLS PROGRAM, INCLUDING PRESCHOOL AND ADULT EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, AS WELL AS ENHANCEMENTS TO THE K-12 PROGRAM. ADDITIONALLY, THE SHERIDAN COMMUNITY EDUCATION FOUNDATION PROVIDES A CENTER FOR THE COLLABORATION BETWEEN OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT COME TOGETHER TO PROVIDE A STRONGER BASIS TO SERVICE THE SHERIDAN COMMUNITY.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to work to relieve poverty in developing countries by providing funds, technical assistance and supplies which improve the health, education, welfare, social well-being and self-reliance of individuals and families. Also included are organizations that provide relief services in response to a major disaster or large-scale emergency that occurs abroad.
