MONTSHIRE MUSEUM'S MISSION IS TO AWAKEN AND ENCOURAGE A LIFELONG INTEREST IN SCIENCE THROUGH EXHIBITS AND PROGRAMMING DEDICATED TO HANDS-ON DISCOVERY AND EDUCATION FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES. UNIQUE TO THIS MISSION IS MONTSHIRE'S 100-ACRE NEW ENGLAND RIVERFRONT SETTING, WHICH FOSTERS DEEP AND CREATIVE LEARNING IN BOTH PHYSICAL AND NATURAL SCIENCES.

WILLING HANDS RECOVERS FRESH FOOD IN ORDER TO REDUCE WASTE, IMPROVE HEALTH, AND PROVIDE RELIABLE ACCESS TO NUTRITIOUS FOOD FOR NEIGHBORS IN NEED. THE FAMILY PLACE DELIVERS COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO STRENGTHEN POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS, TEACH ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND PROMOTE ENDURING HEALTHY GROWTH FOR FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN IN THE UPPER VALLEY AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES.

THE UPPER VALLEY TRAILS ALLIANCE ADVOCATES FOR THE USE, MAINTENANCE AND DEVELOPMENT OF TRAILS IN THE REGION. THROUGH OUTREACH AND STEWARDSHIP, THE ORGANIZATION PROMOTES AN ACTIVE LIFESTYLE THROUGH TRAIL USE IN ALL SEASONS; CONNECTS PEOPLE AND PLACES THROUGH A REGIONAL TRAIL NETWORK AND LEADS A COALITION OF LOCAL TRAIL GROUPS AND ADVOCATES.

The goal of this organization is to provide technical assistance training and material resources to support the capacity-building efforts of nations outside the U. S. with a focus on agricultural and rural development, health, education, social welfare, small business development and industrial growth.
