OPEN ARMS WORLDWIDE (OAW) IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT, CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO THE SPIRITUAL, MORAL, EMOTIONAL, PHYSICAL AND SOCIAL ENRICHMENT OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH WHO LIVE IN UNDER-SERVED OR FORGOTTEN COMMUNITIES AROUND THE WORLD COMMUNITIES WHERE FAMILIES AND CHILDREN ARE AT HIGHER RISK OF BECOMING VICTIMS OF POVERTY, CRIME, VIOLENCE, ADDICTION, ABUSE, AND SOCIAL MARGINALIZATION.2021 WAS THE BEGINNING OF REEMERGENCE FROM PANDEMIC RESTRICTIONS. THE YEAR BEGAN STILL UNDER TIGHT RESTRICTION AND A TIME WHERE OUR PARTNERS SHIFTED AWAY FROM LARGE GROUPS AND TOWARD INDIVIDUAL CARE, MEETING BASIC NEEDS, AND DIGITAL TEACHING MINISTRIES. THE SECOND HALF OF THE YEAR WAS AN EXPLOSION OF ACTIVITY AS THOSE RESTRICTIONS LIFTED. ALL OF OUR NEIGHBORHOOD PROGRAMS WERE QUICKLY BURSTING AT THE SEAMS.
