THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THESE SYMPOSIA IS TO HONOR THOSE VETERANS ON BOTH SIDES WHO SACRIFICED SO MUCH, AND TO EDUCATE THE YOUNGER GENERATIONS ON THE HISTORY OF THE BATTLE IN PARTICULAR, AND WORLD WAR II IN GENERAL.
