THE GECU FOUNDATION WORKS TO SUPPORT GECU MISSION, GOALS & THE CREDIT UNION MOVEMENT BY SUPPORTING CHARITABLE CAUSES FOCUSING ON TWELVE DEVELOPMENT ISSUES THAT AFFECT OUR COMMUNITY

MISSION:

1. TO OPERATE AS A SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION UNDER SECTION 509 (A) (3) OF THE CODE EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE BENEFIT OF AND TO CARRY OUT THE PURPOSES OF EL PASO COMMUNITY FOUNDATION.2. TO SUPPORT AND BENEFIT PROGRAMA COMPAEROS, A.C., AS WELL AS OTHER NONGOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS IN THE REPUBLIC OF MEXICO WHICH DELIVER HIV PREVENTION AND TREATEMENT SERVICES TO INDIGENT POPULATIONS IN THAT COUNTRY.3. TO MAKE GRANTS OR OTHER PAYMENTS TO EL PASO COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR SUCH CHARITABLE SERVICES.

The goal of this organization is to represent physicians who have advanced training in the medical specialty which diagnoses conditions which require surgical intervention and provide preoperative, operative and postoperative care for surgical patients.

MISSION:

THE STAND WITH ESTELA CASAS CANCER FOUNDATION IS COMMITTED TO HELPING BORDERLAND FAMILIES BATTLING CANCER WITH ITEMS NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE. THE FOUNDATION WILL DISBURSE MONEY IN THE FORM OF GIFT CARDS TO HELP WOMEN, MEN AND CHILDREN UNDERGOING CHEMOTHERAPY PURCHASE WIGS, COMPRESSION SLEEVES AND HELP PAY FOR DEDUCTIBLES. IT WILL PROVIDE FREE MAMMOGRAMS TO WOMEN WITHOUT HEALTH INSURANCE, WELLNESS CHECKUPS FOR MEN AND HELP CHILDREN CHANNEL THEIR CANCER CHALLENGES THROUGH ARTWORK. ESTELA WILL CONTINUE TO LEAD BY EXAMPLE AS A BREAST CANCER FIGHTER AND CONTINUE TO SHARE HER STORY WITH DIVERSE COMMUNITY EVENTS AND WILL CONTINUE TO TEAM UP WITH ORGANIZATIONS TO DISSEMINATE INFORMATION THAT EARLY DETECTION IMPROVES A CANCER PATIENT'S QUALITY OF LIFE.
