THE PURPOSE OF THE COLUMBIA CITY JAZZ COMPANY SHALL BE TO PROMOTE AND MAINTAIN A COLLEGE PREPARATORY AND PRE- PROFESSIONAL DANCE TRAINING CENTER, PROVIDE DANCE TRAINING TO YOUNG STUDENTS AT THE CCJC FACILITY AND WITHIN THE COMMUNITY, AND TO HOST

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to stimulate the economy, expand employment opportunities, encourage the establishment and growth of commerce and industry and otherwise enhance the economic development of the community.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to provide support services to patients and their families. Programs can include social and recreational activities for people who are recovering from surgery or a serious illnesses; supportive services for children who are ill and for their families which enable family members to remain with a child who is hospitalized; family and sibling support groups, and programs which attempt to make a gravely or terminally ill child’s final days, weeks and months more pleasant. PROVIDE SUPPORTIVE HOUSING TO HOMELESS OR HOUSING FRAGILE HIV/AIDS INFECTED INDIVIDUALS IN SOUTH CAROLINA; PROMOTING SELF-SUFFICIENCY WHILE WORKING TO REDUCE THE IMPACT OF THE EPIDEMIC.

THE MISSION OF LOCAL BOYS DO GOOD IS TO PROMOTE TOURISM OF THE UPSTATE TO FOOD, WINE AND MUSIC CONOISSEURS; HIGHLIGHT THE CULINARY AND ARTS COMMUNITY OF THE UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA; AND GRANT PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT LOCAL NON- PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS RELATED TO FOOD (SUSTENANCE), ART, AND MUSIC.

THE WACCAMAW YOUTH CENTER IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING THE AT-RISK YOUTH OF SOUTH CAROLINA WITH A SAFE AND COMFORTING PLACE TO CALL HOME.

The goal of this organization is to focus broadly on strengthening, unifying and building the economic, cultural, educational and social services of an urban community or neighborhood.

TEACHING THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST AND NURTURING OUR YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH CHRIST CENTERED WORSHIP, BIBLE CLASSES, AND CAMPING ACTIVITIES.

FOR OVER 30 YEARS, BURTON CENTER FOUNDATION HAS SUPPORTED AND FUNDED THE SERVICES/EVENTS PROVIDED BY BURTON CENTER. THE FOUNDATION HOSTS ANNUAL FUNDRAISERS THAT UNITE CARING MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY AND COORDINATE THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS TO SPECIFIC CAUSES THAT WILL DIRECTLY SUPPORT THOSE IN NEED WITHIN THEIR COMMUNITY. BECAUSE OF THE GENEROUS CONTRIBUTIONS RECEIVED OVER THE YEARS, THE FOUNDATION CONTINUES TO SUPPORT THE MISSION OF THE BURTON CENTER AND ACT AS AN ADVOCATE FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS AND THEIR FAMILIES.

THE GREENVILLE ZOO FOUNDATION EXISTS AS AN INDEPENDENT COMMUNITY OUTREACH GROUP WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL, RESOURCE AND ADVOCACY SUPPORT TO THE GREENVILLE ZOO.

TO HELP OR TO MINISTER TO THOSE IN NEED. TO HELP PROVIDE TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE IN TIMES OF CRISIS, AS WELL AS LONG TERM SOLUTIONS.

Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

TO PROVIDE A SAFE HAVEN FOR ABANDONED OR ABUSED DOGS AND CATS IN A NO KILL SHELTER. THE GOAL IS TO ADOPT OUT THE ANIMALS TO FOREVER HOMES.

SUPPORT LEADING DESIGN THINKERS IN ADVANCING RESEARCH, STRATEGIES, AND TECHNOLOGIES WHICH PROMOTE TRANSFORMATIVE CHANGE, IMPROVE HUMAN AND PLANETARY WELL-BEING, INCREASE ECONOMIC MOBILITY, AND ADVANCE ISSUES OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL EQUITY ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST.
