THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROVIDE QUALITY-FOCUSED, CULTURALLY RELEVANT SERVICES WHICH EMPOWER WOMEN AND THEIR FAMILIES TO ACHIEVE SELF-SUFFICIENCY OFFERING SERVICES OF: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, HOUSING, VICTIM OUTREACH AND ASSISTANCE, LEGAL ASSISTANCE, SENIOR SERVICES AND SERVICE COORDINATION, BATTERER'S INTERVENTION, CAREER ASSISTANCE, AND PREVENTION EDUCATION.

MISSION:

WASHINGTON PLACE, INC. IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION FORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE NOT-FOR-PROFIT STATUTES OF THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA. THE CORPORATION WAS FORMED FOR THE PURPOSE OF OPERATING A 16 UNIT PROJECT KNOWN AS WASHINGTON PLACE APARTMENTS LOCATED IN SUMTER, SOUTH CAROLINA, WHICH PROVIDES HOUSING FOR LOW INCOME PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES. THE CORPORATION RECEIVES HOUSING ASSISTANCE FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT PURSUANT TO SECTION 811 OF THE NATIONAL HOUSING ACT, AS AMENDED. THE APARTMENT COMMUNITY COMMENCED OPERATIONS IN AUGUST 1993.

LIBERTY STEAM CHARTER WORKS TO PROVIDE ALL STUDENTS WITH EQUAL ACCESS TO A WORLD-CLASS K-12 EDUCATION IN AN ACADEMICALLY RIGOROUS AND STUDENT-CENTERED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT, CREATING GRADUATES WHO WILL BE THOUGHTFUL AND ENGAGED CITIZENS PREPARED TO TAKE ON THE LEADERSHIP CHALLENGES OF THE 21ST CENTURY.
