The goal of this organization is to operate organizations that provide educational programs within the formal educational system or offered as an adjunct to the traditional school curriculum which help students succeed in school and prepare for life. Includes organizations that partner parents, families, schools, business and/or community leaders to broker resources for the benefit of local schools.

MISSION:

THE MISSION OF THE JEFFERSON EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY OF ERIE IS TO PROMOTE CIVIC ENLIGHTENMENT AND COMMUNITY PROGRESS FOR THE ERIE REGION THROUGH STUDY, RESEARCH AND DISCUSSION. THE SOCIETY CONDUCTS PROGRAMS TO FURTHER THESE GOALS.

TO PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN 45 AFFORDABLE HOUSING UNITS FOR ELDERLY INDIVIDUALS.

TO PROVIDE ENHANCEMENT SERVICES FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM SIZED MANUFACTURERS IN 13 COUNTIES OF NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA. ACTIVITIES INCLUDE CUSTOMIZED JOB TRAINING, PROVIDING SEMINARS ON BUSINESS CONCEPTS, AND AIDING COMPANIES IN IMPLEMENTING THOSE CONCEPTS.

The goal of this organization is the fund-raising entity for a single institution within the Philanthropy, Voluntarism & Grantmaking Foundations major group area.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SHELTER AND SAFETY TO VICTIMS OF INTERPERSONAL VIOLENCE AND HELPS TO ELIMINATE ABUSE THROUGH EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF COMMUNITY PARTNERS.

PROVIDE TEMPORARY SHELTER AND FOOD FOR HOMELESS FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS. ALSO, TO PROVIDE LIVING ACCOMODATIONS THROUGH A SINGLE RESIDENT OCCUPANCY PROGRAM.

THE MISSION OF THE SIGHT CENTER IS TO PREVENT BLINDNESS AND PROMOTE INDEPENDENCE FOR THOSE WITH VISION LOSS AND THOSE WHO ARE BLIND.

The goal of this organization is to produce films, videos and holographic images for a variety of educational, documentary and cultural purposes, and/or promote public appreciation of film and video. Also included are organizations that encourage new, foreign and independent filmmakers through the organization and presentation of film expositions and festivals or which show old or difficult to obtain films in noncommercial facilities.

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

ZEM ZEM SHRINERS IS AN UNINCORPORATED ASSOCIATION AND A SUBORDINATE OF SHRINERS INTERNATIONAL. THE ORGANIZATION IS A FRATERNITY WITH A PHILANTHROPIC MISSION. SERVICE IS TO THE NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA AREA. THEY COLLECT MEMBER DUES, PERFORM VARIOUS FUNDRAISERS AND PROVIDE A BANQUET HALL AND A FOOD AND BEVERAGE FACILITY FOR THE MEMBERSHIP AND GENERAL PUBLIC.

PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN THE FORM OF REIMBURSEMENTS FOR MEDICAL AND EXTRAORDINARY CYSTIC FIBROSIS RELATED EXPENSES INCLUDING TRAVEL COSTS FOR CYSTIC FIBROSIS PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN ERIE AND CRAWFORD COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA

HVA IS THE REGIONAL RESOURCE FOR PROGRAMS AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF CARE AND LIFE FOR SENIORS AND BENEFIT MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH COLLABORATIVE, ADMINISTRATIVE, CONSULTING AND SUPPORT SERVICES.

MISSION:

WEST RIDGE FIRE DEPARTMENT IS A VOLUNTEER DEPARTMENT THAT IS LOCATED IN THE SOUTHWESTERN MILLCREEK TOWNSHIP, A WESTERN SUBURB OF ERIE, PENNSYLVANIA. CURRENTLY, MILLCREEK TOWNSHIP IS THE 2ND BIGGEST MUNICIPALITY IN ERIE COUNTY WITH A POPULATION OF AROUND 53,000. THE WEST RIDGE FIRE DEPARTMENT IS OFFICIALLY DESIGNATED AS ERIE COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT #46.

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that use a bulk of their resources to provide charitable services or run charitable programs of their own. They make few, if any, grants to outside organizations and, like private independent foundations, they generally do not raise funds from the public.
