TO PROVIDE LEGAL INFORMATION, ADVICE, REPRESENTATION AND MEDIATION TO OHIO UNIVERSITY STUDENT WHO ENROLL IN OUR PROGRAM. PRESENTATIONS ARE ALSO PROVIDED TO OHIO UNIVERSITY CLASSES AND OHIO UNIVERSITY STUDENT GROUPS.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to provide civil rights, social action or advocacy services where the major purpose is unclear enough that a more specific code cannot be accurately assigned.

THE MISSION OF THE UNITED SENIORS OF ATHENS COUNTY IS TO PROMOTE INDEPENDENCE, TO ENHANCE PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL WELL BEING AND TO INCREASE EFFECTIVE USE OF COMMUNITY RESOURCES BY ATHENS COUNTY RESIDENTS WHO ARE AGE 60 AND OLDER.

The goal of this organization is to operate societies, professional councils, and other organizations that bring together individuals or organizations with a common professional or vocational interest within the Voluntary Health Associations and Medical Disciplines major group area.

The goal of this organization are the membership organizations that are engaged in promoting the interests of the veterans or active or retired military personnel who are their members.

UNITED APPEAL HELPS PEOPLE MEET THEIR BASIC NEEDS BY PROVIDING ATHENS COUNTY 211 INFORMATION & REFERRAL SERVICE AND RAISING FUNDS FOR LOCAL HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS.

The goal of this organization is to provide an alternative family living arrangement in agency-supervised family homes for dependent children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse, neglect or abandonment; or for children or adults with disabilities who are unable to live with their birth families or in an independent setting.

PROVIDING HUD SUBSIDIZED (SECTION 8) HOUSING TO INDIVIDUALS WITH SEVERE AND PERSISTENT BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ISSUES IN ATHENS AND HOCKING COUNTIES.

THE MISSION FOR ATHENS COUNTY CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER IS TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO CHILD SURVIVORS OF ABUSE AND THEIR FAMILIES THORUGH COORDINATED SERVICES.

The goal of this organization is to operate centers which offer, at a single location, a variety of recreational facilities such as athletic fields and courts, a gymnasium, a swimming pool and public lockers. Recreational centers usually offer an organized program of activities for community residents and provide all necessary equipment.

The goal of this organization is to operate associations for male and female students which are chapters of national or international organizations, have secret rites and restricted membership, and may undertake, as a part of their activities, community improvement or charitable projects.

The goal of this organization is to make grants for charitable purposes in a specific community or region. The funds available to a community foundation are usually derived from many donors and held in an endowment that is independently administered; income earned by the endowment is then used to make grants.
