THE CARDINAL MCCLOSKEY EMERGENCY RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL IS EXEMPT FROM FEDERAL INCOME TAX UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF INTERNAL REVENUE CODE UNDER A GROUP EXEMPTION COVERING ALL AGENCIES AND INSTRUMENTALITIES AND ALL EDUCATIONAL, CHARITABLE AND RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS OPERATED, SUPERVISED OR CONTROLLED BY OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH IN THE UNITED STATES, ITS TERRITORIES AND POSSESSIONS. AS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, THE SCHOOL IS ALSO EXEMPT FROM NEW YORK STATE INCOME AND SALES TAXES.
