FRANKLIN SYMBOLIZES PROGRESS FOR WOMEN IN SCIENCE BUT HER ACCOMPLISHMENTS WERE NOT RECOGNIZED DURING HER LIFETIME, AWARDED POSTHUMOUSLY, NOR ARE THEY COMPLETELY ACKNOWLEDGED TODAY.
