SOUTHERN HILLS PRESERVATION CORPORATION IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION FORMED IN 1986. THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO PROMOTE AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY REVITALIZATION THROUGH DEVELOPMENT, FINANCING, ADVOCAACY, COUNSELING AND EDUCATION. THE ORGANIZATION SERVES RURAL SOUTHERN ONONDAGA COUNTY, INCLUDING THE TOWNS OD FABIUS, LAFAYETTE, MARCELLUS, ONONDAGA, OTISCO, POMPEY, SPAFFORD, SKANEATELES AND TULLY. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES PRODUCTS AND SERVICES THROUGH THE FOLLOWING PRIMARY ACTIVITIES: 1. GATHERING DATA RELATED TO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GOALS, 2. CONSTRUCTOIN AND REHABILIATION OF HOUSING FOR LOW INCOME RESIDENTS, 3. PROVIDING ACCESS TO FUNDS TO HELP INCOME- QUALIFIED HOMEOWNERSMAKE NEEDED REPAIRS ON THEIR HOMES AND FIRST TIME HOMEBUYERS PURCHASE AND REHABILITATE A HOME, 5. PLANNING, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT TO SUPPORT COMMUITY REVITATLIZATION.

THE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF NYSFOLA ARE TO PROTECT THE WATER RESOURCES OF NEW YORK THROUGH PUBLIC OUTREACH,RESEARCH, EDUCATION, SHARING INFORMATION, AND PARTNERSHIPS. NYSFOLA IS A NON-PROFIT GROUP OF LAKE ASSOCIATIONS, INDIVIDUAL CITIZENS, PARK DISTRICTS, LAKE MANAGERS, ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS, AND CONSULTANTS DEDICATED TO THE PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION OF NYS LAKES AND WATERSHEDS.

THE ORGANIZATIONS PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO DEVELOP, ORGANIZE, OPERATE AND MAINTAIN RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR TOWN RESIDENTS OR THOSE LIVING WITHIN THE LAFAYETTE SCHOOL DISTRICT.
