TO RESEARCH SCHOLARLY AND CULTURAL JEWISH LITERARY WORKS, TO DISSEMINATE THE WORKS TO THE LIBRARIES AND GENERAL PUBLIC, TO ENHANCE AND FURTHER JEWISH EDUCATION, AND TO ADVANCE THE FIELD OF BIBLICAL AND TALMUDIC SCHOLARSHIP.

MISSION:

THE ORGANIZATIONS MISSION IS TO TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO NEEDY FAMILIES WHICH QUALIFY FOR SUCH SUPPORT BASED ON THE CRITERIA SET FORTH IN THE BYLAWS AND SUBJECT TO THE DISCRETION OF THE BOARD.

MISSION:

PROVIDE HOMELESS PREVENTION THROUGH RENTAL ASSITANCE AND HOMEOWNER EDUCATION SERVICES.

TO RAISE FUNDS FOR SOCIAL SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS, NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, SCHOOLS,AND HOSPITALS THROUGHOUT THE U.S. THAT HELP SOCIETY, THE UNDERPRIVLEDGED, CHILDREN WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES AND AT-RISK YOUTH REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SERVICES TO THE DISABLED POPULATION BY ADMINISTERING A POOLED SPECIAL NEEDS TRUST FOR DISABLED INDIVIDUALS WHO CANNOT CARE FOR THEMSELVES.

LISHMOR OFFERS VARIOUS PROGRAMS AIMED AT PREVENTING ABUSE WITHIN THE ORTHODOX COMMUNITY. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE AWARENESS EVENTS, A SAFETY KID PROGRAM IN SCHOOLS, AND TRAINING FOR PARENTS AND STAFF MEMBERS. ADDITIONALLY, LISHMOR PROVIDES INITIAL SUPPORT TO SURVIVORS OF ABUSE BY CONNECTING THEM WITH RABBINIC LEADERS, THERAPY AGENCIES, SOCIAL WORKERS, AND OTHER RESOURCES TO ENSURE THEY RECEIVE THE NECESSARY ASSISTANCE AND ARE PROPERLY GUIDED TOWARD THE HELP THEY NEED TO OVERCOME THE EFFECTS OF ABUSE.
