BAPTIST CHILDREN'S HOMES OF NORTH CAROLINA (BCH) IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT REACHES OUT TO CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN CRISIS. THE AGENCY'S MISSION STATEMENT IS "SHARING HOPE...CHANGING LIVES."

MISSION:

THE MISSION AND PURPOSE OF THE YMCA IS TO PUT CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES INTO PRACTICE THROUGH PROGRAMS THAT BUILD HEALTHY SPIRIT, MIND, AND BODY FOR ALL. YMCA PROGRAMS EMPHASIZE FOUR CORE VALUES - CARING, HONESTY, RESPECT, AND RESPONSIBILITY. WE SERVE MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN OF ALL AGES, RACES, ABILITIES, INCOMES, AND RELIGIONS. AS A CHARITABLE, COMMUNITY- BASED ORGANIZATION, WE SEEK TO IDENTIFY COMMUNITY NEEDS AND TO RESPOND TO THEM IN SUCH A WAY THAT THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY BENEFITS; THE YMCA'S COMMITMENT IN THIS REGARD IS THAT NO ONE IS DENIED MEMBERSHIP OR PROGRAM PARTICIPATION DUE TO INABILITY TO PAY, SO FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED TO THOSE WHO NEED IT, TO THE EXTENT FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO DO SO. IN 2023, THE YMCA PROVIDED $29,050 IN FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO 127 CHILDREN IN OUR CHILD CARE PROGRAMS AND $62,388 TO 423 INDIVIDUALS OF ALL AGES FOR YMCA MEMBERSHIPS.

PROVIDE FIRE PROTECTION AND RESCUE SERVICES FOR APPROX 17 SQUARE MILES IN DAVIDSON COUNTY.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people of all ages to learn, become competitive in and enjoy the organized recreational activity, sport or game of their choice. These programs may be offered by local clubs devoted to a particular activity or sport; may provide individual or team coaching assistance or instruction, access to equipment and facilities, and uniforms, if necessary; and may sponsor or make arrangements for athletes to participate in amateur competitions, usually at the local or regional level, and provide officials for games. These events are generally for the enjoyment of the athletes and are not at a high enough competitive level to be considered spectator sports.

THE ORGANIZATION COLLECTS AND DISTRIBUTES DONATIONS TO ASSIST THE THOMASVILLE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IN ITS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES.
