THE CORPORATION HAS ENTERED INTO A HOUSING ASSISTANCE PAYMENT CONTRACT (HAP CONTRACT) WITH HUD. THE HAP CONTRACT PROVIDES RENT ASSISTANCE FOR LOW INCOME FAMILIES (OR PERSONS) AS PROVIDED BY THE SECTION 8 PROGRAM OF THE NATIONAL HOUSING ACT.

TO PROMOTE FURTHER INQUIRY AND KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE PLANTS AND ANIMALS OF THE SOUTHERN APPALACHIANS, AS WELL AS THE TRADITIONS AND CULTURE OF THE NATIVE CHEROKEE PEOPLE, WHICH BARTRAM ENCOUNTERED ON THIS TRAVEL HERE IN 1775.
