AS THE PUBLIC LIBRARY SERVING RESIDENTS OF NORTH BERWICK, ME OUR MISSION IS TO OFFER THE RESOURCES AND ENCOURAGEMENT NECESSARY TO PROMOTE THE JOY OF READING, INCREASE AWARENESS OF THE WORLD, BROADEN CULTURAL HORIZONS, AND FOSTER LIFE-LONG LEARNING

MISSION:

MANAGE A TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM ALONG WITH OTHER DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SUPPORT SERVICES FOR MEN AND WOMEN. MAINTAIN HOUSING FOR SENIOR WOMEN TO STAY IN WHILE TRANSITIONING OUT OF ABUSIVE SITUATIONS.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the organizations like chambers of commerce, business leagues and commercial trade associations whose members are businessmen and women and merchants who have affiliated for the purpose of promoting the general commercial interests of the community or the interests of their own trade. [Many of these are found in section 501(c)(6) business leagues; and 501(c)(6) chambers of commerce.]

TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITY, LEADERSHIP, AND SUPPORT TO ADVANCE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PHILANTHROPY IN MAINE AND ITS ABILITY TO MAKE A MEANINGFUL DIFFERENCE.

VISION OF OFF ROAD GREENWAY CONNECTING CASCO BAY IN SOUTH PORTLAND MAINE WITH KITTERY MAINE

TO DEVELOP, OWN AND MANAGE SUBSIDIZED RESIDENTIAL HOUSING UNITS AND RELATED FACILITIES FOR QUALIFIED ELDERLY AND DISABLED INDIVIDUALS.

The goal of this organization is to make available to members and their guests and facilities for recreational activities, sports and games. Also included are social clubs that provide opportunities for people to meet and socialize with their peers at dances, parties, picnics, barbecues and other companionable events; and special interest clubs which enable people to share hobbies or other interests with individuals with those same interests.

MISSION:

TO PROMOTE THE WELFARE OF ITS MEMBERS IN THE AREAS OF SAFETY, FAIR PAY AND BENEFITS, RELATIONSHIPS WITH EMPLOYERS, ETC. THE LOCAL MAINTAINS A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT WITH PARTICIPATING CONTRACTORS AND SERVED 294 MEMBERS AT YEAR END.

THE TENTH MOUNTAIN SKI CLUB PROMOTES HEALTHY OUTDOOR LIFESTYLES AND ECONOMIC GROWTH BY PROVIDING WORLD-CLASS FACILITIES, TRAILS AND EVENTS FOR AREA RESIDENTS, ATHLETES AND VISITORS.

WAHFH'S MISSION IS TO ENHANCE OUR COMMUNITY BY HELPING QUALIFIED FAMILIES TO BECOME INDEPENDENT OWNERS OF DECENT, AFFORDABLE HOMES.

MAINE RIVERS WORKS TO PROTECT, RESTORE AND ENHANCE THE ECOLOGICAL HEALTH OF MAINE'S RIVER SYSTEMS. WE WORK ON ADVOCACY AND POLICY EFFORTS TO PROTECT AND RESTORE RIVERS AND WATERWAYS. WE DIRECT AND SUPPORT ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION EFFORTS THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF MAINE.

Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.
