MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

MISSION:

TO FACILITATE LEARNING THROUGH AN INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH TO THE ARTS AND SCIENCES IN A SAFE, CREATIVE, FUND AND LOVING ENVIRONMENT. WHAT WE STRIVE FOR AT FIDDLEHEAD SCHOOL OF ARTS AND SCIENCES IS COMMITTED TO THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE WHOLE CHILD - SOCIALLY, EMOTIONALLY, PHYSICALLY, ACADEMICALLY, INTELLECTUALLY, AND ARTISTICALLY. THE GOAL OF A FIDDLEHEAD EDUCATION IS FOR STUDENTS TO BUILD A TOOLBOX OF HABITS, SKILLS, AND WONDERINGS TO DRIVE A LIFELONG LOVE OF LEARNING.

MISSION:

MED-CARE PROVIDES EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES AND TRANSPORTATION TO ALL CITIZENS OF THE ELEVEN RURAL MUNICIPALITIES THAT MAKE UP ITS SERVICE AREA AND ARE SIGNATORS TO ITS INTER-LOCAL AGREEMENT

NEW HOPE MIDCOAST BELIEVES THAT A LIFE FREE FROM ABUSE IS A FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHT AND WORKS TO BUILD A CULTURE THAT WILL NOT TOLERATE DOMESTIC ABUSE. WE SUPPORT PEOPLE AS THEY CREATE PATHWAYS TO SAFETY. BY EDUCATING AND EMPOWERING OUR COMMUNITIES, WE SUPPORT A MORE JUST AND EFFECTIVE RESPONSE TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND ABUSE.

TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SCHOLARLY FACILITY AT EAGLE HILL, STEUBEN, MAINE THROUGH ADVANCED AND SPECIALIZED IN-PERSON AND ONLINE NATURAL HISTORY SCIENCE TRAINING SEMINARS, PUBLISHING NINE SCHOLARLY SCIENCE JOURNALS AND ONE POLICY JOURNAL, AND SPONSORING CHAMBER MUSIC CONCERTS, PUBLIC LECTURES, AND OTHER COMMUNITY PROGRAMS.

The goal of this organization is to build, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing for low-income individuals and families, older adults and people with disabilities; or which make purchasable housing available to low or moderate income families by offering lower priced housing and/or affordable payment plans, by arranging for interest or mortgage subsidies or by involving eventual owners in the construction process (sweat equity).
