MISSION:

PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSEMIDCOAST MUSIC ACADEMY IS ORGANIZED AND OPERATED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE AND EDUCATION PURPOSES AS SET FORTH IN SECTION 501 (C) (3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE, OR CORRESPONDING SECTION OF ANY FUTURE FEDERAL TAX CODE. THE ORGANIZATION IS DEVOTED TO PROMOTING PUBLIC APPRECIATION OF MUSIC THROUGH INSTRUCTION, COMMUNITY PROGRAMS, AND PERFORMANCES.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

TO RAISE FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE PUBLIC PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTION OF THE TOWN OF ROCKPORT PUBLIC LIBRARY, A PUBLIC FACILITY OPERATED BY THE TOWN OF ROCKPORT, MAINE, A STATE OF MAINE MUNICIPAL ENTITY/GOVERNMENTAL UNIT WHICH HAS SECTION 170(C)(1) TAX EXEMPT STATUS STATUS UNDER THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE. AFTER CONSTRUCTION OF THE ROCKPORT PUBLIC LIBRARY BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS, THE PURPOSE OF THE ROCKPORT LIBRARY FOUNDATION SHALL BE TO RAISE FUNDS FOR SUPPOR OF OPERATIONS, MAINTENANCE OF BUILDINGS AND IMPOROVEMENTS AND THE RESOURCES OF THE LIBRARY.
