TO IMPROVE THE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CONDITIONS OF TRIBAL MEMBERS IN THE FOUR MAINE TRIBES (MALISEET, MICMAC, PASSAMAQUODDY AND PENOBSCOT) THROUGH EDUCATION AND INVESTMENT IN AFFORDABLE HOUSING, TRIBAL BUSINESS VENTURES, AND ENTREPRENEURS.

The goal of this organization is to provide services, facilities and programs that support student needs, foster student learning and personal development, create a healthy and diverse community, and enrich student life.

RESIDENTIAL, NURSING CARE AND COMMUNITY SUPPORTS TO ADULTS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES. OUR MISSION IS TO ENRICH THE LIVES OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY BY DEVELOPING INDIVIDUALIZED SUPPORTS.

The goal of this organization is to build, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing for low-income individuals and families, older adults and people with disabilities; or which make purchasable housing available to low or moderate income families by offering lower priced housing and/or affordable payment plans, by arranging for interest or mortgage subsidies or by involving eventual owners in the construction process (sweat equity).

The goal of this organization is to develop, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing that is available to people who qualify on the basis of income, age or disability for publicly subsidized housing e.g., HUD housing or housing assistance under Section 8 of the Housing and Urban Development Act.

SUPPORT AND PROMOTE THE UNIVERSITY OF MAINE GRADUATE & PROFESSIONAL CENTER THROUGH FUND RAISING, BRANDING, AND ENGAGEMENT WITH MAINE ENTERPRISES AND EMPLOYERS TO IDENTIFY TRAINING NEEDS, CREATE EXPERIENTIAL EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS, AND DEVELOP INCUBATOR AND ACCELERATOR PROGRAMS.

The goal of this organization are the residential options exclusively for older adults who want to have a simpler, maintenance-free lifestyle and enjoy the company of peers with common interests, or who require a moderate amount of support in the activities of daily living to maintain independent living.

MISSION:

WE ARE HOLDING THE CHAPTER HOUSE FOR SIGMA PHI EPSILON AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MAINE AT ORONO THERE ARE TYPICALLY OVER 50 ENROLLED STUDENTS THAT BENEFIT ANNUALLY FROM THIS HOUSINGADDITIONALLY WE PROVIDE SCHOLORSHIPS BASED ON ACADEMIC ACHIEVMENT AND OTHER WORTHINESS CRITERIA

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to preserve and protect endangered land resources from indiscriminate development, destruction or decay and which manage the utilization of renewable and nonrenewable resources to ensure ongoing availability. Included are conservation of the nations forests, rangeland, vegetation, deserts, wild and scenic rivers and other wilderness areas and open land spaces; and reestablishment of areas that have been devastated by destructive activities such as strip mining or other destructive activities.

MISSION:

THE MAINE INFONET COLLABORATIVE EXISTS TO SUPPORT COOPERATION, PARTNERSHIP, COLLABORATION AND SHARING BETWEEN ACADEMIC, PUBLIC, SCHOOL, AND SPECIALS LIBRARIES IN THE STATE OF MAINE. A MAJOR ACTIVITY OF THE MAINE INFONET COLLABORATIVE WILL BE TO ORGANIZE, CONVENE, AND MANAGE MEETINGS BRINGING TOGETHER LIBRARIANS AND LIBRARY STAFF FROM ACROSS THE STATE TO HELP PLAN AND ORGANIZE COOPERATIVE LIBRARY VENTURES AND/OR TO PROVIDE FORUMS FOR DISCUSSIONS OF TOPICS OF IMPORTANCE TO LIBRARIES ACROSS THE STATE. THE MAINE INFONET COLLABORATIVE MAY IN THE FUTURE FROM TIME TO TIME APPLY FOR PRIVATE, STATE AND/OR FEDERAL GRANT MONEYS IN ORDER TO UNDERTAKE ACTIVITIES THAT SUPPORT LIBRARY COOPERATION. THE MAINE INFONET COLLABORATIVE ORGANIZES GROUPS OF LIBRARIES TOGETHER FOR COLLABORATIVE LICENSING OR PURCHASING OF LIBRARY SERVICES, MATERIALS, DATABASES,JOURNALS, EBOOKS, ELECTRONIC CONTENT, ETC.

The goal of this organization is to conduct research in mathematics, the science which addresses quantities, magnitudes, forms and their relationships using symbolic logic and language.

MISSION:

TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE IN PERPETUITY THE SCENIC LANDSCAPES, NATURAL TERRAIN, AND NATIVE ECOSYSTEMS OF THE LAKESHORE LANDS, WETLANDS AND ADJOINING WOODLANDS AND OPEN SPACE IN AND AROUND MEDDYBEMPS LAKE WATERSHED FOR PUBLIC BENEFIT AND FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.
