BUILDING ON THE LEGACY OF ITS FOUNDING FAMILY, THE WILSON MUSEUM USES ITS DIVERSE COLLECTIONS AND RESOURCES TO PROVIDE LEARNING EXPERIENCES TO STIMULATE EXPLORATION OF THE NATURAL HISTORY AND CULTURES OF THE PENOBSCOT BAY REGION AND THE WORLD.

MISSION:

THE CASTINE HISTORICAL SOCIETY COLLECTS, PRESERVES AND EXHIBITS MATERIALS THAT ILLUMINATE THE RICH HISTORY OF THE CASTINE - BAGADUCE RIVER AREA AND, THROUGH IT, THAT OF NEW ENGLAND AND AMERICA, FROM PRE-COLONIAL TIMES TO THE PRESENT. IN DOING SO, THE SOCIETY SEEKS TO ENGAGE RESIDENTS AND VISITORS OF ALL AGES IN THE EXPLORATION AND STEWARDSHIP OF CASTINE'S DIVERSE HISTORICAL RESOURCES.

MISSION:

THE PURPOSES OF THE CORPORATION ARE TO MAINTAIN AND SUPPORT PHYSICIAN-DIRECTED HEALTH CARE AND TO ENGAGE IN AND CONDUCT CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES.

THE CASTINE GOLF CLUB WELCOMES MEMBERS TO ENJOY THE SALT WATER AND SEA AIR IN ONE OF OLDEST COMMUNITIES IN NORTH AMERICA. PERCHED AT THE MOUTH OF PENOBSCOT BAY, THE CLUB OFFERS MEMBERS ACCESS TO GOLF, TENNIS, AND YACHTING WITH PROGRAMS TAILORED FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS.

MISSION:

COMMUNITY CHILDHOOD LEARNING PLACE IS A YEAR ROUND, FULL-DAY PROGRAM SERVING CHILDREN, FOURMONTHS TO KINDERGARTEN IN CASTINE, ME AND THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY. A STEAM BASED AFTER SCHOOL CARE IS ALSO AVAILABLE.8

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people of all ages to learn, become competitive in and enjoy the organized recreational activity, sport or game of their choice. These programs may be offered by local clubs devoted to a particular activity or sport; may provide individual or team coaching assistance or instruction, access to equipment and facilities, and uniforms, if necessary; and may sponsor or make arrangements for athletes to participate in amateur competitions, usually at the local or regional level, and provide officials for games. These events are generally for the enjoyment of the athletes and are not at a high enough competitive level to be considered spectator sports.
